The exhibition of ancient, Byzantine and post-Byzantine musical instruments is housed in an old community building in Oia and it was founded in October 2010. It includes exhibits from the collection of composer and musicologist, Christodoulos Halaris. The exhibition also includes copies of musical instruments from the prehistoric period until the Byzantine era. The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki helped a lot in the reconstruction of the musical instruments. The placement of the exhibits in the museum is based on their chronology and kind (e.g. psaltery, brass etc.)
