Voidomatis River with its turquoise clear waters is one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. Its water is drinkable and its name comes from the Slavic "Bode-mat" which means "good weather".
The sources of the river are in Vikos village. After 15 kilometers it meets Aoos River at the plain of Konitsa. The crystal clear waters spring from Tymphi and remain at 4 ℃ temperature throughout the year. You can hike in the paths along the river, rest under the plane trees, dive into the water and enjoy the natural beauty. There are many bridges in the area. The most well-known is Kleidoniavista Bridge which you will see if you follow the path along the river bank. For the fans of water sports, the river offers the possibility for rafting.
