The Monastery of St. Nicholas (dependency of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos) is located in a magnificent location, in the habitat of the lake Vistonida at Porto Lagos. The church of St. Nicholas and the Chapel of Pantanassa, attract thousands of pilgrims every year. In the area there is a guesthouse and a museum with findings from Abdera and Vistonida Lake. The church is open daily.
