The Folklore Museum of Aegina is housed in a neoclassical building, built in 1828 by George Iriotis (also known as Kontogiorgis).

On the first floor you will find a traditional house of Aegina where old furniture, traditional costumes and various objects are exhibited. All of them are donations by Iriotis and other individuals. Here you will also find the archives of the museum, the library and a large part of the correspondence of Panagis Iriotis. On the ground floor there are two halls. One of them is called "The House of the Fisherman" and you can see fishing and sponge diving equipment and the other one is called "Village House" and it includes some agricultural tools. The large hall on the ground floor and the courtyard of the building are used for various cultural events or as places of exhibitions for artists.
