This is a famous mountain village with stone houses and narrow streets, traditional cafes under the trees and great views of the neighboring villages of Gortynia. Andritsaina is built amphitheatrically on the eastern slopes of Minthi Mountain and it has an interesting history of various rulers, revolutions and wars. From the early 18th century Andritsaina began to develop and soon became an important commercial and cultural center. The School of the village was founded in 1796 and became the center of spiritual evolution of modern Greece. In the center of the village you will see the picturesque square with tall trees and magnificent views. Opposite the square there is "Trani fountain", which is the oldest dated fountain Peloponnese (1724). There is always something to do in Andritsaina: You can have a cup of coffee under the trees, enjoy the great views and visit the Folklore Museum and the temple of Apollo.
