Soulio's barrels have a long family tradition of making handmade barrels starting in 1916 using oak & rhombus wood. In 1970 the workshop was modernized with machinery, then with the relocation and expansion of the company in 2006 in Ioannina the 4th generation now manufactures a multitude of handmade products. However, despite the evolution, the barrels are still manufactured in the same traditional way since 1916. The wood is torn and dried for 2 years until it is finally processed by hand.
