Argolida is a prefecture situated in the central and eastern part of the Peloponnese. It borders with Corinthia (north), Arcadia (south) and it is near the islands of the Saronic Gulf (east). The capital city is Nafplio. The highest mountains are Oligyrtos, Lyrkeio and Arachnaio.

For history and art lovers Nafplio is very close to some of the most significant sites of Greece: the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and the archaeological site of Mycenae. Some of the most famous coastal resorts are Porto Heli and Kranidi and they also offer an easy access to the Saronic Gulf Islands.
